FROM PINE FOREST HS TO APPALACHIAN STATE UNIVERSITY

Yesterday I had the rare honor of being invited to the graduation ceremony of Drew Agans; rare because if you're not already aware tickets to these events are very hard to get.

Drew stated guitar lessons with me in the Spring of 2008 and made it his goal from the outset to attend a college of music somewhere.  A lofty ambition that requires much practice and study in addition to academic achievement while in high school.  Drew proved he was up to the task.  He graduated with triple honors; honor graduate, national honor society member and music honor.

In preparing for college Drew traveled extensively with me, attending workshops, festivals and competitions always giving an exemplary account of himself and this studio.  It has all paid off!  He applied to and auditioned for Appalachian State seeking thier muisc production program, and to East Carolina University.  Being accepted to both schools he faced the toughest decision of his life.  The program at AppState only accepted 15 students and Drew was one of them - the decision was made, AppState it is.  Drew will make one last trip with me this summer to ECU and its off to college - I will miss him!

Well Done Drew,

mr. ron
